Can individual efforts impact a situation?

The question above can be explained with the parallel outlined in my previous posting : "by switching off the light in a room that it is not needed can an individual impact the environment positively?" The answer is a definite YES even though some might disagree. Some might say there are bigger things that can be done than worry about switching off unnecessary lights! Well yes there are but each one of us can do something small and when you add the small things that could be done today towards a cause the impact might appear a bit bigger at the end of that day! Most importantly tomorrow more individuals might catch on with the universal consciousness idea and a bigger thing might be achieved tomorrow as a result of more individuals "switching off that unnecessary light bulb"!!

Similarly for the Cyprus issue each Cypriot (be it Greek or Turkish) can do something about it. The business community members for example may choose to start cooperating in some way. The entertainers might decide to work together on a play or a show, the artists might do exhibitions together, the scientists might research and write articles together. If a wave of cooperation, mutual respect of each others' abilities and contribution could catch on then maybe a solution could be much closer than we think. If we look back in history it is usually the masses of the people who solve the major issues it is not their leaders (no direspect to anyone intended). In some cases their leaders were the reason why the solutions were not happening.

Could I please solicit some ideas through this Blog on how each one of us can do something (small) that will get us closer to a solution of the "Cyprus Problem"?
